Lieutenant General Karanbir Singh Brar and DLJ Officials Evaluate Nano AerPod in Product Demonstration
In a dedicated demonstration session at the Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur (DLJ), Lieutenant General Karanbir Singh Brar, accompanied by senior representatives from the Indian Army Association and DLJ’s scientific team, conducted an exhaustive evaluation of the Nano AerPod Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR). The event underscored the Indian Army’s commitment to equipping personnel with cutting-edge respiratory protection tailored for high-risk environments.
Building on a Legacy of Excellence
Through our incubation at IIT Madras, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating closely with IITM Pravartak—an innovation hub dedicated to IoT and digital transformation. Their expertise in sensor networks, embedded systems, and data analytics empowered us to take Nano AerPod from a conceptual design to a fully functional, smart wearable air purifier. By integrating real-time air-quality monitoring and adaptive filtration controls, we transformed Nano AerPod into more than just a mask—it’s a connected device that learns and responds to the environment around you.
Fueling Innovation with Seed Funding
In addition to technical support, IITM Pravartak believed in our vision early on and provided crucial seed funding to accelerate development. This funding allowed us to prototype faster, conduct extensive testing, and secure key components without delay. With that financial boost, we were able to refine our HEPA filtration system, optimize power consumption, and fine-tune our firmware—all while working hand-in-hand with Pravartak’s experts. Their seed grant didn’t just help us build a product; it validated our mission to protect vulnerable individuals with cutting-edge wearable technology.
Looking Ahead
Today, our partnership with both IIT Madras and IITM Pravartak continues to bear fruit. As we prepare for larger-scale manufacturing and broader market release, we remain committed to the same spirit of research-driven innovation that first attracted us to campus. We owe our rapid progress to the mentorship, resources, and seed funding provided by these esteemed institutions. Together, we are setting a new standard for personal air purification—one that combines world-class research, IoT intelligence, and compassionate design.
Stay tuned as we embark on the next chapter of our journey. With the backing of IIT Madras and IITM Pravartak, Nano AerPod is poised to bring cleaner air to thousands of lives—indoors and out—wherever protection is needed most.
